comc Pick-ups: Cory Hahn

In 2011, in just his 3rd collegiate game with Arizona State University, Cory Hahn slid headfirst into second base and ended up being paralyzed from the chest down. Earlier this month the Arizona Diamondbacks drafted Cory in the 34th round (his jersey number) and are going to offer him a job with the team. Classy move for the D-Backs and I'm really happy for Cory.

Here are a few cards that I picked up recently of one of the newest D-Backs. I got these off of comc.com for $16 shipped.

An early birthday present from Catching Rays!

My birthday is next week and my friend Joe, of the blog Catching Rays!, gave me an early birthday present today. It's a 2012 Topps Series II Chasing History Didi Gregorious Autograph! Did started the season off red hot and has cooled down a bit lately, but has been a pleasant surprise at shortstop for the D-Backs! This is my first Didi autograph. Thanks Joe!

TTM Success: Vance and Vern Law

I sent 6 cards to Vance Law just over a week ago and got them all back today signed including a Father and Son card signed by both Vance and his father, Vern!

The first time I posted this, the pictures were only visible when viewing using Google Chrome. I took a picture of all 4 and am going to see if this works.

The Owings I got from an antique mall for $5. I got the Webb and Grace for Father's Day. My friend Joe got me the Aaron Hill since I wasn't able to go to the game. Thanks again Joe!

Arizona Diamondbacks Bobbleheads

The Diamondbacks started giving away bobbleheads in 2001. Including this season (2015), there will be 70 different bobbleheads. 3 of the bobbleheads were only given away through the Diamondbackers/Strike Zone Kids Club and are extremely rare and pricey and so I won't be going after those. Here is a link to Bobbleworld which has pictures of them all. So that leaves me needing 67. I currently have 67/67.

eBay Pick-Ups:2013 Museum Collection

I haven't spent any money on anything card related in about two months. Recently I came across a few dollars that I was able to justify spending on myself and I of course allocated it to cards. I picked up a couple of D-Backs cards from 2013 Museum Collection from the same seller.

Cards from My Cardboard Habit

I was watching game 1 of the D-Backs doubleheader against the Rangers this last Monday and I got an email from Judson of the blog My Cardboard Habit. He said he had a few 2013 Gypsy Queen cards I might be interested in and included a picture of the three cards below. Ding, ding, ding! Yes, I was interested! Judson is a Rangers fan and was also watching the same game that I was since it was D-Backs vs. Rangers. He said he would send me the cards and for me to send him some Rangers in return. I'm working on it Judson. Thanks again! These cards are awesome!

Judson is relatively new to the blogosphere and he needs some subscribers. Like I said, he's a Rangers fan. He's also getting into ttm's and he's even related to a former Cubs player. Go subscribe to him!

Kennedy and Cahill have a lot of potential, but have been struggling this season. Hopefully they can snap out of it and start pitching well soon.

This is my first certified Adam Eaton autograph and it looks amazing! Can't wait for him to get off the DL!
