30 Cents Well Spent

It's been about two weeks since my last post and at least that long since I've been to my favorite LCS, The Batter's Box, but yesterday I was able to find some time and I made the trip.

The shop is a co-op and one of the cases always has a nice variety of cards in the 10 cent range. Check out a small sampling of what I picked up for a dime each.

  1. one dime each? from an LCS?? great job!! i once asked the owner of my LCS why he didn't have a dime/quarter box. he said too many people would steal and he cant watch them all the time. he could bring it out for his best customers tho, i thought. how many really come in to steal from a dime box? for a dime, how could the potential loss hurt him? i haven't been into his shop in nearly a year. never anything new in the case with boxes and packs behind his counter on the wall. NO TOUCHING! No fun.

    1. SEEMS LIKE MOST DEALERS WOULD WANT TO SHED THOSE PESKY CARDS, EVEN IF SOMEONE WAS STEALING THEM. I THINK THEY ALL SHOULD HAVE DIME AND QUARTER BOXES, HUH. LOL.

  2. THE BRAVES WERE WELL REPRESENTED IN THE BRINKLEY COLLECTION WITH 4 OF THE 16 PLAYERS. McGRIFF IS THE ONLY ONE I STILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE QUARTET. NICE JOB.

    1. I've always like the Christie Brinkley Collection cards and so when I saw this one and two others for a dime, I pounced. The Braves actually have 9 of the 16 cards. The other 7 are Cleveland Indians.

  3. Sweet dime box finds! I'd probably go to my LCS if they had dime boxes sitting out on a table.
