I think having a blog and putting all my acquisitions on it actually forces me to be a little more selective, like I have to justify getting the card(s). Wasn't collecting in '00-'03. I'm a small Hall guy so Berkman is not close for me. He wasn't very good by the time he was on the Yankees.Bohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10955725607806692792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6673889727117377790.post-85233232021169419042022-07-01T04:15:21.206-07:002022-07-01T04:15:21.206-07:00As a bargain hunter... I'm a big fan of memorabilia cards from the "hard to pull" era, so $2 is a great deal. I wasn't collecting between 2000-03. As for the Hall of Fame question, I'm done evaluating HOF credentials. night owlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11673973790245316059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6673889727117377790.post-82582329286888847572022-06-30T14:50:59.205-07:002022-06-30T14:50:59.205-07:00Much as Diamond King says, buying random cards jus...Much as Diamond King says, buying random cards just because (mostly "just because" it's a good deal, sometimes "just because" it's an interesting card) is pretty much my whole approach to collection. Most shows I spend a lot of time either going through dime boxes (and less-than-dime boxes) or looking at cheap relics--at $2 a pop I'll always buy relics of guys like Glaus.

I wasn't collecting during that timeframe.

I think Berkman's not quite a Hall of Famer...certainly I'd put Keith Hernandez in before him, for example. But he's not an unreasonable choice by any means.
