Tim sent me 36 Bonds cards. I needed 17 of them. Almost half. Not bad!
These 17 cards take me past the 400 mark for unique cards. I'm now at 411.
Tim mentioned that he's not a fan of Bonds and I totally understand that.He certainly is polarizing. I remember going to Diamondback vs. Giants games and booing Bonds, but hoping he would hit a home run.
If you are like Tim and don't want your Barry Bonds cards, feel free to send them my way and I'll give them a good home. At least until I get to 762 unique ones.
I really like his 1991 Score card. The black borders and action shot are a nice combination. As for being a fan... I've landed on the side of rooting for him. I'm definitely in the minority when it comes to bloggers, but I just can't pretend that I wasn't entertained whenever he stepped into the batter's box.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Barry Bonds pre-steroids fan. He was an amazing player to watch. He didn't need to go down that path. I have cards of his from the late 80's, into the late '90s that I like.
ReplyDeleteIf I find any I don't like, I'll let you know.
Keep on collecting!
Glad to see the cards made it to you, and that so many of them were able to make it into your collection. As I said on the note, I will set aside any more Bonds cards I come across for you.
