I bought a collection a few years ago that had a partial set and I bought another collection that had both the Mattingly and Strawberry rookie cards, so I figured why not complete the set. I had a few cards already and I took my list to my LCS and was able to grab 100+ cards I needed. I am now down to just 80 cards. Most are star cards though which is both good and bad. Good because I should be able to find them easier, but bad because the 1984 Donruss cards of star players tend to command a slight premium to other cards of the same era, so it will cost me a little bit to complete the set.
Night Owl sent me 5 cards I needed on 8/19/21.

Best of luck completing it. I got lucky with this set. Picked up a binder with the complete set (minus 5 cards) at the flea market for $12. Luckily none of the 5 singles were big names or key rookie cards.
ReplyDeleteCard Barrel has a lot of those.
ReplyDeleteBest Donruss set ever made. I have a few extras, I'll check your list, maybe I'll have a couple.
