Back on January 3rd I posted #ebayfail. I had bought a 4 card lot of Paul Goldschmidt cards off ebay, but ended up with two random autographs instead.
I contacted the seller who apologized and said he would try to get a hold of the other buyer and get things sorted out. The other buyer wasn't as proactive as I would have liked, but everything eventually got sorted out and I got the cards I bought in the mail today.
I'm pressed for time right now, so I'll just show off the extra card that the seller included. The rest will be shown in a later post.
This Panini Prizm Fireworks card is a welcome addition to my collection. I didn't have it yet, so this is my 221st different Goldschmidt card in my collection.
Sometimes I think I'll go out a purchase a scanner, but then I see cards like the Goldschmidt above. I've seen those Fireworks cards and I remember them looking so much better in hand.
ReplyDeleteGlad the Ebay switcheroo was fixed!
Very true about the scanner. Sometimes it just does not do a card justice.
DeleteSince you're collecting Goldschmidt, you might also want to check out "Paul Goldsmith" on eBay from time to time. When I look at Goldsmith items, I see Goldschmidt items from time-to-time. Just wanted to pass along.

He has a difficult and long name, so I do search variations from time to time. Thanks!
Delete221 Goldys? Nice!!! He is so underrated. How many are autos?
ReplyDeleteI just counted and it looks like I have 28 certified Goldy autos.
DeleteGlad the eBay transaction had a happy ending. Looking forward to seeing the four other Goldschmidts in a future post.
ReplyDeleteSomeone sent me half an order once, luckily the seller figured out where It was, sent it and threw in a bonus auto
