$2 well spent, I think? (Plus a CONTEST reminder)

I picked up this 2011 Topps GARY CARTER Topps 60 Memorabilia Card at my local card shop last week for $2. I saw the price tag and couldn't say no. I could buy one 2011 Topps pack and risk not get anything good or, for the same price I could get a bat card of Hall of Famer Gary Carter. On the front of the card, under the bat piece it says "GAME-USED MEMORABILIA". On the back it says "You have recieved a certified TOPPS 60 MEMORABILIA CARD from 2011 Topps Baseball Series 1". In really small print under that it says "The relic on this card is not from any specific game, event, or season." My question is, was the relic from a specific player, namely Gary Carter? What happened to the good old days when on the back of the relic card it would state something similar to "The enclosed piece of bat is certified to have been used by XYZ player in an official Major League game."?

Also, just another reminder about my contest. The clues that I have given narrowed down the number to between 1001 and 2000.
