Contest - Guess the Inscription

I got to meet Dwight Gooden today. He was a favorite player of mine when I was young. Meeting him was a great experience. He was very personable and took time to interact with both of my boys that I brought with me (my oldest had a baseball game at the same time). He asked them questions and gave then each high fives.

I got a ball signed and it turned out great!

Included with the price of the autograph was one free inscription. Additional inscriptions were $20 each. I stuck with the one inscription.

The first person to guess the inscription I choose will get a small stack of Gooden cards from me and I might try to throw in some additional cards from your favorite team, so let the guessing begin. You are limited to one guess and only the first person that correctly guesses the inscription will win. Good luck!

***Update*** Contest is closed. Congrats to Matt C. for guessing the correct inscription; "Dr. K"

    1. I debated about this one, but I don't think he did particularly well in that series.

    2. Oh wow. You're right. I had no idea. 0-2 8.00 ERA. Ouch.

    1. He signs Doc Gooden, so it does say "Doc" but that wasn't the inscription.

    1. Another good guess and one that I considered for a while, but I didn't end up going with this one.

  6. I'd love to meet Gooden one day. It was really cool to see the documentary with him and Strawberry on ESPN. Brought back some really cool (and sad) memories.

    1. Yeah, it was a great documentary. Crazy stuff! I was just a kid at the time all that was happening, so I didn't remember much.
