Christmas Package from CMMDTO

Every once in a while I get a package from a fellow blogger that blows me away with the shear volume of cards. Such was the case with a recent package from fellow D-Backs collector Jared, of the blog Cards My Mother Didn't Throw Out. He sent a box of D-Backs goodness my way.

Jared is currently hosting a contest, so be sure to click here to check it out and enter to win some cool cards!

There is way too much to show everything, but I'll try to it justice.

First up are 15 Paul Goldschmidt cards. I needed 6 of them, which is actually a pretty good percentage considering I have 354 different Goldschmidt cards in my collection. What surprised me was that I needed the 1st Bowman Chrome card and the Bowman Gold RC.

Jared didn't stop with the Goldschmidt cards. He included a barrage of other D-Backs cards for my boys and I. Here are just a few.

Here's a 2017 Topps Update All-Star card of Robbie Ray. Notice Goldschmidt hiding off to the right.

Here's a Bowman Sterling RC of Trevor Bauer. These cards look awesome in person. The scan doesn't do it justice.

Jose Valverde was a fan favorite with the D-Backs when he was our closer. The patches jersey pieces are just plain white swatches, but I really dig this dual relic of Papa Grande.

Speaking of fan favorites, there is no bigger fan favorite here in Arizona than Luis Gonzalez. Gonzo is definitely one of my favorites and this Luis Gonzalez Strata auto is awesome!

Finally, here's a Topps Tribute relic of 5-Tool Stud Justin Upton, numbered out of 50.

Again, this was just the tip of the iceberg. Thank you so much Jared!

  1. That's a nice assortment of cards. I've always liked Gonzo too. I met him when I was really young (maybe 11ish?). Super cool dude

    1. That's cool that you got to meet Gonzo. I'm assuming at a ballpark?

  2. Ummmmm...the phrase "5-tool stud" brings to mind something very, very different than baseball ability. I will leave it at that.

  3. That's a boatload of Goldschmidt. I bought my nephew a Goldschmidt autograph in hopes that it'll lure him into our hobby. Wait... maybe "lure" isn't the best verb to use in these sensitive times.
