Patrick Schuster, Robby Rowland, and Kevin Munson. All are pitchers. All were drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks. All are no longer with the D-Backs organization. All are now part of my collection.
Dennis sent some D-Backs base cards from various brands and years, but this 2009 Topps card of Chad Tracy stands out because it was on my Topps Diamondbacks Needs List. It's not there anymore. Thanks Dennis!
Here is a 1999 Topps Finest Gold Refractor of Travis Lee. The edges appear to be perforated. This is my first time seeing on of these in person and it...is...stunning!
It's numbered on the back 076/100.
Here is a 2007 Sweet Spot Sweet Beginnings Signatures Rookie Card of former Diamondbacks All-Star catcher Miguel Montero. Montero was my oldest son's favorite player while he was on the D-Backs and between the two of us we have a lot of Montero autographs, both certified and in person autographs and I don't think I've ever seen one where the last part is detached like this one.
This 2015 Topps Triple Threads relic of Paul Goldschmidt (bat), Chris Owings (jersey), and Yasmany Tomas (jersey) is numbered out of 18 and is fantastic! I have the patch version, so I'm thrilled to have added this version to my collection.
I love that Topps got everything right this card. For one thing, all 3 players are still on the Diamondbacks after a year. Goldschmidt isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but Tomas hasn't lived up to his contract yet and there were rumors in the off season about Owings getting moved. All three started for the D-Backs on Opening Day earlier this week, although Owings started in center field in place of the injured A.J. Pollock instead of second base.
The relic pieces all match up as well, which is something that is fairly rare, especially on a triple relic like this. Goldschmidt is featured holding a bat which matches his relic piece. Owings white jersey swatch matches the jersey he is shown wearing as does the red jersey for Tomas. Well done Topps!
So many great cards! Thank you very much Dennis!
Glad you liked the stuff! The EEE autos were $0.50 a pop, believe it or not, and I actually picked up the Triple Threads card before you posted the first one you got, I just took forever to send it.
ReplyDeleteWow that's one helluva package! Very interesting and different design on that Montero auto.
