Inception has me thinking and asking questions.

I went to a card show this morning and was pleased to find some 2017 Inception singles available at reasonable prices.

By reasonable I mean 6 for $5 ($0.83) for stars and parallels and 7 for $1 ($0.14) for semi-stars and commons.

Seven card boxes of 2017 Topps Inception are fetching $50+ on the open market, so I was happy to get a four card D-Backs team set for $1.25.

For reference, here is a picture of the back of a Goldschmidt card.

There are lots of parallels in Inception. I got a few. Here are a green (not numbered) and a magenta numbered to 99. These D-Backs were both part of the 6 for $5.

I didn't just stick with D-Backs though. I picked up some of the games biggest stars for $0.83 each.

Here are a few more Inception cards that were from a 7 for $1 box.

Alright, now for my thoughts on Inception and a few questions for you.

I like the design. It reminds me of Five Star a little bit. What are your thoughts?

The cards are thick. Too thick for a standard 9 pocket page. How do you store base cards like this? I usually don't use penny sleeves and top loaders on cards that cost less than a quarter.

And finally, who wants to see what else I got from the card show?

  1. OOOHHH I see a couple of Freddie's. Awesome deal! Go to Walmart and grab a 35 pack of the Ultra 9 pocket pages, the extra thick cards although snug, do fit.

  3. I've always thought Inception was cool... especially their on-card autographs. Definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of your card show haul.
