Now what?

  1. Been there, done that. All I can say is that you've got two choices. Continuing to root for laundry or root for the player. In your case it might not be the worst thing to root for Goldy individually while the D-Backs try to reinvent their ballclub.

  2. Yeah. Have been thinking of you. I'm sure there are still tons of Diamonback parallels to find even though he's moved on.

I just wonder who the new favorite will be for bobbleheads.

  3. I felt similarly with Troy Tulowitzki. Of course, he hasn't gotten much playing time since his injury woes still haunt him. But I was definitely pulling for the Blue Jays for a while.

  4. For a Cubs fan whose son idolizes Paul Goldschmidt, this post is sickening.

  5. I can understand your plight. I can still recall the day my Indians traded Victor Martinez to the Red Sox. I would recommend continuing to collect Goldy cards and have him as your number 1 player collection.

  6. Hang in there. Always tough when a favorite leaves.
The first thing I'd do is jump on tickets for the September 23-25th series when the Redbirds come visiting AZ.

  7. Was there when Griffey went to the Reds but I embraced the change and saw it as seeing new uniform cards.

  8. Rickey Henderson. Brett Favre. Ichiro Suzuki. Been there. Done that. Wish I could tell you it gets easier.

  9. Saddened when I heard the news. Goldy should have spent his career in AZ.
