Spring Training Autograph Success: Arizona Diamondbacks

Visited the Arizona Diamondbacks practice fields for the first time today. I live in Goodyear, AZ and the D-Backs Spring Training facility is in Scottsdale, AZ so it was a good 45 minute drive, but it was well worth it! We watched the D-Backs practice for about two hours. There was only a few other people there and only really one other person trying to get autographs. I was really confused until the players all left and we headed over to another area that was full of fans trying to get autographs. Since there was only a few people at the actual practice we did really well. My boys ended up getting 5 baseballs, 2 used but decent ones that they got autographs on (from Coach Glenn Sherlock) and 3 from the Grounds Crew that were pretty dirty. My boys got autographs from Cody Ross, Miguel Montero, Wil Nieves, Adam Eaton, Martin Prado, Paul Goldschmidt, and Tony Campana. Brad Snyder gave them his batting gloves and we got him to sign them after practice. I got Kirk Gibson to sign a card and all three of us got Ian Kennedy to sign a 2013 Topps card. I also got a Goldschmidt card signed, but I must not have prepared it well and the sharpie didn't take. Oh well!

In the video I said it was Ryan Snyder, but it's actually Brad Snyder that gave my sons the batting gloves.

One thing I didn't show in the video is a ball that my oldest son had signed by Miguel Montero. Montero had thrown the ball up to us last season after he was done warming up in the outfield before a game on July 5, 2012 against the Dodgers.
