Edwin Jackson's No-Hitter

Congratulations go out to Edwin Jackson of my Arizona Diamondbacks as he pitched a no-hitter today against the Tampa Bay Rays! Jackson pitched the second no-hitter in D-Backs history, as Arizona beat Tampa Bay 1-0 on an Adam LaRoche solo home run in the second inning. Jackson gave up 8 walks and threw a career-high 149 pitches in the no-hitter.

0 hits, 9 left on base - something you don't see very often.

Jackson and teammates celebrate on the field after the no-hitter.

  1. Jackson is just trying to match A.J. Burnett's 9 walks... when Burnett no-hit my Padres earlier in his career.

    A no-hitter is a no-hitter though... pretty or not.

  2. Man I wish I was there! That had to be an amazing pitchers duel after the 3rd inning. Congrats to EJ. Hopefully this means he is back on track...
