I picked up this 2009 Bowman Chrome Brandon Webb Gold Parallel card off ebay early in December, but haven't gotten a chance to show it until now.
I collect Brandon Webb and am close to 300 different cards. This card is my 296th and I think I may be missing a few that came in via trades and care packages late last year.
I really like gold parallels and most are numbered to 50, so that makes them even better. I like red parallels as well because how they pair with the D-Backs uniforms. Does anyone else have a favorite parallel color?
My favorite parallel color is purple because it reminds me of the old Dbacks' colors. Gotta love the heritage purple refractors!
ReplyDeleteA new, fellow D-Back fan/collector blogger!!! How did I not know about you already? Awesome! Going to spend some time today familiarizing myself with your blog!
DeleteMuch like your affinity for red parallels, my favorite color for such cards has to be blue since it pairs so well with Cubs cards. The gold on that Webb is pretty nice too though!
ReplyDeleteCubs cards do look great with a nice blue border!
DeleteThe blue parallel refractors are pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteThe chrome blue is really nice! It's a richer blue that normal I think.
Deleteblue and purple. also like orange, and red is intimidating. One color, you asked? I don't care for pink.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of pink either for cards.
DeleteBeing a Yankee fan, I love a good dark blue parallel. Green is my favorite color though, so I've always been a fan of those too. And red really pops, but I can never seem to afford those of my favorite players. Nice Webb card and congrats on almost hitting 300!
ReplyDeleteThanks Drew! I think I might be there (300), I need to go through the last several months worth of stuff and make sure my list is up to date.
