Here's a quick glimpse at my comc.com order that arrived today.
Can't wait to break down this order. It has a little bit of everything!
Assuming you've ordered from comc.com before, do you go in with a strategy or just browse? Do you have your cards shipped right away or wait awhile?
I have want lists for various parts of my collection so I do have targets but I will occasionally just do random searches. Normally I ship just once during their Black Friday sale but I won free shipping on some of their scratchers so I may request a shipment before the date expires in April for the free shipping.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool about the free shipping! In the past I was pretty much just a Black Friday shopper, but I think I may use it more going forward just because it is so easy to target specific cards.
DeleteI load up my watch during the year and then buy nearly every sale item during their Black Friday sale. I'm a once a year shopper!
ReplyDeleteI get to anxious and want to have the cards in hand to wait for just one mail day, but I know a lot pf people do. They do typically have some good sales for Black Friday.
DeleteI didn't mess with COMC too much this year. It was always great for my WVU collection in years past, but just haven't found much lately. Just Commons and Sportlots have been better recently.
ReplyDeleteI used Just Commons recently. I need to check out Sportlots.
DeleteI buy a little bit every month and wait until I have a decent amount of cards before I request a shipment
ReplyDeleteThat's a good strategy to cut down on shipping costs.
DeleteI do not use COMC unless I find a Lankford card I need, or they are running sale. When I do shop the sales, I tend to look for cheap autos of Cardinals players I do not have, then team set wants.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine it's sort of rare to find a Lankford card on COMC that you don't already have. They do occasionally have some cheap autos of some of the lesser names which is awesome for a team collector.
DeleteI usually go in knowing what I want. If I browsed, I'd be broke!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the going broke thing. I usually try to stick to cards less than a dollar but even then it adds up quickly!
