Let's get started with so POP! figures from Star Wars Rogue One. Here's the checklist from the back of one of the boxes, but there are a few more. I noticed a Saw Gerrera at Wal-Mart recently. Apparently it's a Wal-Mart exclusive. I wouldn't mind adding it to my modest collection. But that's beside the point.
Let's see which ones I did pick up.
I think the $10 price point for POP! figures is pretty fair, but between the cost and the space they take up, it means that I have to limit my purchases.
I've seen Rogue One twice so far and really enjoyed it. My two favorite characters from the movie are Chirrut Imwe and K-2SO.
I was at Kohls shortly after Christmas returning a few things and they had a small selection of POP! figures one sale; buy one, get one half off.
They had Chirrut Imwe, but not K-2SO, so I got Chirrut and Jyn Erso.
I really wanted the K-2SO, so I went online and ordered it using a Wal-Wart gift card. I had it shipped to the store for free and it came in about a week.
Let me know what you think. Have you seen Rogue One? Like it, love it, or hate it? Do you collect POP! figures? Do you have any Star Wars ones? How do you display them? In or out of the box?
Haven't seen the movie. I'm in no hurry after the disappointment of Episode VII (which I felt was just a repackaging of A New Hope - but that's a different argument). I do collect Pop! bobbles, especially anything Captain America. I don't have a place to display them, so they're packed away in my closet. There's a subscription service that sends a Star Wars themed Pop! box every other month called Smuggler's Bounty you might be interested in. It has a Pop! and a few other items (I subscribe to the Marvel version called Collector Corps).
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look into the Smuggler' Bounty, but I think for now I'm too picky to just get a random one.
DeleteI don't any Pop! figures (yet), but I wouldn't be adverse to picking up one. Like you, space is an issue. I'm quickly running out!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm trying to figure out where I can display them.
DeleteI loved Rogue One. It was a very different feel from the typical Star Wars movie, but I'm glad that they are brave enough to go in new directions. And it really makes you look at Episode IV in a whole different way.
ReplyDeleteIt really does make you think about Episode IV differently. I loved it as well.
DeleteI have 17 Star Wars Pops, 3 of them are from Rogue One.
ReplyDeleteHave you been to PopPriceGuide.com? The value is interesting but I like it best for keeping track of my collection.
Which 3 do you have from Rogue One? I tried the PopPriceGuide.com site just now, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll have to check back later. Thanks for the info!
DeleteRegular Jyn, Cassian Andor & Darth Vader
DeleteI've seen Rogue One twice and really enjoyed it. I dove into the world of Funko Pop collecting either last year or the year before. Most of the ones I own are from the various Star Wars series, although I own a handful of Marvel characters and movie related ones as well. I've pretty much put that collection on hold... because they take up way too much space. I'm going to continue being a member of their Smuggler's Bounty subscription box though and will probably copy you and pick up a Chirrut Imre at some point.
ReplyDeleteI didn;t realize how many Star Wars figures there are and they just keep adding more. I like it, but hard to keep up. I've just come to the realization that I have to be very selective. Still not sure the best way to display them.
ReplyDeleteI need to pick up some pop of my favorite 90's shows. I think I heard Ren and Stimpy are available
