I listen to KTAR Sports 620 on the way to and from work everyday. Earlier this week they mentioned that several D-Backs would be at the Wild Horse Pass Casino on Friday, February 12th, signing autographs from 6 pm - 7pm. The lineup included Manager A.J. Hinch, catcher Miguel Montero, newly aquired pitcher Ian Kennedy, and star third baseman Mark Reynolds. I spent about an hour in traffic, but arrived at the casino a little after 5 pm. I was probably about the 15th person in line. Every person could get 1 item per player signed. If you didn't have an item, then they had 5x7 cards of each player. They started promptly at 6 pm and I was able to get cards signed by Hinch, Montero, and Kennedy. I got a ball signed by Reynolds on the sweet spot (I'm still trying to get a good picture of the ball). I got through the line, left the room and noticed that the line wasn't very long, so I got back in line and went through again and got a photo of each player signed. I was at my car by 6:20 pm. I had a great time!

Awesome stuff. You gotta love in person autos.
ReplyDeleteI have met Ian on a few occasions he is an extremely nice guy I wish him luck with the d-backs
ReplyDeleteThat Markey Reynolds is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThat is freakin awesome. I miss being close to my team that I could go to signings. The last time I got to do that John Jaha was pitching for the Brewers. Those team cards they had are great. What size are they? Where they free? Either way nice haul.
ReplyDeleteI am so envious. Grats, oh did you go to Fan fest today? I wish I could have gone
ReplyDeleteNice. I knew I should have gone. Already had plans though.
ReplyDeletemoe.
The team cards are pretty cool this year. In the past they were just black and white head shots. They were free and are 5x7's. Also, I did go to the D-Backs Fan Fest, but I didn't pay for any autographs, but that dosen't mean that I didn't get any. Expect a couple of D-Backs Fan Fest posts soon.
