I just got a notification that an eBay purchase was delivered today. It’s a playing era Hank Aaron card. It’s a base card, meaning not a League Leader card or checklist or anything like that. It will be new to me.
Those are the hints. Guess the card correctly and I’ll send you a Hank Aaron card (probably not a playing era card). One guess per person and valid only in the United States. Good luck!
I will guess 1868 Topps!
ReplyDeleteI will let you update your guess if you would like.
DeleteLol, 1968!! I think in 1868, Topps was owned by Fanatics. Circle of time, right?
Delete1968 is correct! I think I have your address, but if you would send it to me just to be sure I will get a Hank Aaron card out to you this week.
Deletecan't pass this up - i will guess 1975
ReplyDeletePre 1975.
DeleteThe way you have been scoring lately, I'll be bold and guess 1955.
ReplyDeleteI wish! That one has really gone up in price over the last year or so. I did put a best offer on a trashed one last week, but it didn’t even get a response. My offer was $75 less than the seller wanted for a starting bid. Nobody bid on it. Some day I will get a 1955 Topps Hank Aaron, but not today.
DeleteI'll take a guess - 1970
ReplyDeletePre 1970.
DeleteThanks for playing! The correct year has been guessed. This was fun! Lots of interaction over a short period. And Crocodile, I can’t wait to check out your blog!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed him from a comment on Baseball Cards Come To Life. I've enjoyed what I've read.
DeleteI was going to guess 1968! It's one of the only pre-1970 Aarons I have.
ReplyDeleteThe 1968s are growing on me!
DeleteCongratulations! Adding any playing era Aaron card to a collection is worthy of a celebration.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, indeed. I am going after all of his playing days cards, but the base Aaron cards are even more special.
