Season of Getting

Fellow blogger and lover of all things Larkin and Legos: Nachos Grande has been sending out packages as part of his Season of Giving. That means for me it was the Season of Getting.

I claimed the D-Backs and got a box of D-Backs goodness from Nachos Grande.  Check out a small sampling of what he sent.

Goldschmidt

The Big Unit

Gonzo

Brandon Webb

Travis Lee

Justin Upton

These early Topps Heritage cards really caught my eye. These three cards are making me rethink a part of my collection. Currently all my D-Backs base cards are sorted by player, but I'm thinking about changing that up and put together team sets.

I'm all about that base. 2013 Topps base that is.

Chris from the blog Nachos Grande messaged me on twitter a week ago saying he had a Diamondbacks card off my want list and asked for my address.

Less than a week later this 2013 Topps Jason Kubel card showed up in my mailbox courtesy of @Nachos_Grande.

I love this Kubel card. He's obviously celebrating a home run at Chase Field. I have three of the Opening Day versions. five of the Topps Chrome versions, a gold parallel and an emerald parallel, but up until a couple of days ago I didn't have the base version.

Not only did I need this card, but it completes my 2013 Topps Diamondbacks team set, so that's even better.

In addition to this Kubel card, Chris added a few addition D-Backs cards inside the pwe.

Thank you very much Chris and for knocking off the Kubel card off my Diamondbacks Topps Needs List I awarded you 10 It's like having my own Card Shop Loyalty Points.

Trade with Need More Cardboard

Andrew, of the blog Need More Cardboard, recently picked up a sweet Brandon Webb patch/auto and I commented letting him know how much I liked it. He said he was open to trading it, so we worked out a trade. Thanks Andrew!

Here is the Webb card that initiated the trade!

I have the jersey/auto version already, but this patch version is really nice and it's numbered to 55!

Andrew included several other fantastic D-Backs cards!

Love this Baxter card! This will get signed this season.

My first auto of pitching prospect Braden Shipley.

This is an A & G back mini of Stephen Drew.

Gillespie made his MLB debut with the D-Backs in 2010, but has bounced around a bunch of teams since then. he signed a minor league deal with the Marlins in December.

Sometimes I'm frustrated by the lack of D-Backs cards that Curt Schilling has. I have to remind myself that he was only with the D-Backs for two full seasons.

Package from Nathaniel Go

YouTuber and blog reader, Nathaniel Go sent me a message saying he was going to send me come cards. I got a package from him on Saturday and was blown away with his generosity! Thank you so much Nathaniel!

There were 5 giant team bags filled with cardboard goodness! Here is just a sampling of what he sent!

Tons of great D-Backs cards!

Here are a couple of Goldschmidt cards featuring his front and back.

Love this card of Randy Johnson! So happy that he's going into the Hall with a D-Backs cap!

Here's a card of current free agent Max Scherzer. The former Cy Young Award winner has heterochromia iridum which means that his eyes are two different colors.

I will never be able to get enough of these cards!

Nathaniel sent several Webb rookie cards, but this was my favorite! Not only is it a phenomenal card on its own, but I didn't already have it, so that makes it even better!

Here's a great card of Luis Gonzalez! There is just one thing wrong with it. On the left side of the card it says "DODGERS", luckily it's in small letters and the picture they used more than makes up for it!

Nathaniel also sent over a great group of cards of current and former D-Backs in other uniforms. Here are just a couple.

Nathaniel also sent over a bunch of great cards for my mini PC's.

Doughnuts.

Technology.

National Anthem

I love these 2010 Upper Deck Ballparks cards and Nathaniel really hooked me up! I'll have to see how many more I need.

Here are some Trumbo cards that Nathaniel sent. These rookie cards are great, but they pale in comparison to the next Trumbo card he sent!

Here is a 2014 Topps Chrome Mark Trumbo Red Refractor numbered out of 25! I absolutely love red bordered D-Backs cards! Add to it the fact that it's numbered out of 25 and it's practically perfect!

Here's another 2014 Topps Chrome card. It's a Chris Owings autographed RC!

And as if one autographed Chris Owings rookie card wasn't enough, Nathaniel added a 2014 Topps Finest Chris Owings autographed RC!

The autographs didn't stop there! Nathaniel sent autographs of Archie Bradley, Daniel Hudson, and Yazy Arbelo!

Thank you so much Nathaniel for everything!
