Christmas Catch-Up

I've been sorting some cards recently and realized that it's a lot of work.

For example, if someone sends me a stack of D-Backs cards they might end up in 5 different boxes or 4 different binders.

I have a binder for my Topps D-Backs cards and I have a Randy Johnson binder. I also have two binders for other D-Backs I PC like Brandon Webb, Justin Upton, Miguel Montero, A.J. Pollock, Luis Gonzalez, Gerardo Parra, Steve Finley, Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Travis Lee, and Jay Bell.

I have all my Goldschmidt cards in one box sorted by brand and year and then I have two boxes, sorted alphabetically, for D-Backs "hits" and two boxes, sorted alphabetically for all other D-Backs.

I don't want anyone to stop sending me D-Backs, but it just takes a while to keep up when it comes to organizing everything. Maybe that's why I'm a bit behind in sorting and organizing.

For instance, here are a bunch of cards that I recently sorted that I got for Christmas.

NathanielGo from YouTube sent me all these, plus a bunch of D-Backs base cards.

MikeO, also from YouTube sent me a little package for Christmas and I thought I had scanned everything already, but I guess not. He sent me a Gypsy Queen Peter O'Brien auto. O'Brien is no longer on the team. He also sent me a pack of 2016 Topps Bunt. As I was going through the cards I looked closer at the Free Pack code card and realized it has Goldschmidt on it. I'm going to count it as a card for my Goldschmidt collection.

Brian from a Facebook group I'm in, kgsportscards, held a contest around Christmas and gave away something like 50 cards to 50 different people. I won this Bobby Doerr auto, which is awesome.

Brian also included this 2016 Tribute Goldschmidt card. This is also getting added to my Goldschmidt collection.

  1. Nice haul! I'm the same way; I have about 6 possible destinations for each sport, and even breaking everything down that much it sounds way more disorganized than you.
