I'll pay 50 cents all day, every day for this card in this condition, as evident by the fact that this is not the first time I picked up this card from my LCS for less than a buck.
I have no idea what this card "books" for today but a quick look at a March 1991 Beckett tells me this card had a high book value of $65.00. The February 2010 Beckett (the last Beckett I've ever purchased) shows high book fro this card at $20. At that rate, maybe 50 cents is book value today.
Regardless, it's a great looking card from a great looking set and I'm happy to have it in my collection!
There's no way you could pass that steal of a deal "Bly"!
ReplyDeleteLooks at least as good as most of my 1971's.
ReplyDelete1971 is a tough set condition wise. I wouldn't have been able to pass that up for 50 cents either. Awesome card.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about this the other day... I wonder how the 2020 Heritage set will hold up when it reflects on the 1971 black bordered design?

ReplyDeleteThat's it. I can't stand it anymore. I'm quitting my job, packing my bags, moving to Arizona, and gonna start digging through your LCS's boxes. See ya soon!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Congratulations!
Great card at a fantastic price! I don't even collect the Twins and I would have bought it.
