Question: What is your favorite piece of memorabilia?

I have several pieces of baseball memorabilia that I really enjoy and I would have a hard time picking a favorite, but I'll throw that question out to you. What is your favorite piece of baseball memorabilia?

Below is one of my favorites, it's my ticket to the first ever Arizona Diamondbacks game. It was Tuesday, March 31, 1998. I was 16 years old and my brother-in-law had bought season tickets and I was lucky enough to get to go with him to Opening Day. The ticket below is a special ticket (think Sportflics) for season ticket holders that had the roof of the Bank One Ballpark open and close as you move it.

  1. Good topic, and a recent event. I have a few, first a picture I took from Father's day 2011 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. It was the first game I took my Dad to, and my daughter came along. Second, a total of 9 autographs my daughter and I got this last weekend. Without memories the sport would be meaningless...

  2. I guess my Wrigley Field program from Opening Day 1969. My Dad took me and I still remember him jumping up and down when Willie Smith hit a home run to win the game.

  5. Great question... first thing that popped into my head was the vintage A's souvenir helmet I picked up this weekend at a local show:

  6. This answer changes all the time, as I don't have a clearcut favorite. I'd probably say my Tino Martienz signed TTM card, or the my entire Topps Yankees Project.

  7. Lol. I think it's funny that most of the answers here include a link to a blog post. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Probably not my all-time favorite piece of memorabilia but your D-Backs ticket has me thinking about my favorite ticket stub. I have one from September 11, 2001. The D-Backs/Astros game was cancelled and replayed a few days later.

    moe.

  8. Off the top of my head I'll say a piece of the bench from 2006 when the Cardinals won the world series, cut into a home-plate shape.
