FB Find - 2017 Topps Update

There were some cards in the boxes from the Facebook Find that didn't belong. They were probably from a few loose packs bought here or there and then just stuck in the boxes. 

I'm going to start with some of these smaller stacks. First up is 2017 Topps Update. In total there were 90 2017 Update cards. With 300 cards in the set, this gets me close to a third of the way there. I've got some other cards from this set, so I will have to see how close I am. I wish Topps would sell the update set like they used to with the Traded sets years ago. I don't need all the variations and the inserts. I'm not going to turn them away, but I really just want the base set.

Lots of rookie cards, which are to be expected in the Update Series. I'm not a fan of multiple rookie cards for the same player in the same set though (see Ian Haap below).

Lots of star power in the form of All-Star cards, which is also a staple of the Update Series.

Speaking of All-Stars, I did find a variation card of Max Scherzer in the lot. The one on the right is the variation.

There were a couple of insert cards in the lot.

Only a couple of Home Run Derby cards. I'm a fan of the Derby and have a seperate collection of these cards from over the years. The Cubs card will make it into my Trophy mini collection if I end up with an extra after the one I need for the set. After going through my other 2017 Update cards, I do have doubles of the Cubs card, so that one will go in my mini collection binder.
